Medicare Supplement Plans

Starting in April 2018, Medicare is mailing new cards with new Medicare numbers to every person with Medicare. You don’t need to do anything to get your new card, but you should make sure your mailing address is up to date. Visit or call 800.772.1213 (TTY: 800.325.0778) to correct your mailing address, if updates are needed. There will be no change to your Avalon member card. You will continue to use your Avalon member card as you do today.

Medicare Supplement insurance helps pay for health care services beyond the benefits provided through Medicare Part A (for hospital services) and Part B (for medical services), such as copayments, coinsurance and deductibles.

Use any Medicare-participating doctor, health care provider, or hospital with no referrals required.

As long as you are enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B and reside in Pennsylvania, you are eligible to apply at any time.
